Good Neighbors - Sale-A-Bration.

One of the perks of being a demonstrator for Stampin Up is being able to get our hands on the stamps before everyone else, I was a little late ordering and decided to wait and actually earn my free sets*! well the wait nearly killed me, watching all my fellow demos using their sets early ...

Well my first free set is finally here, despite the snow! - Good Neighbors

I chose good neighbors because, well I don't know why, I just loved it and could see a use for it straight away, although I can see a use for all the Sale-A-Bration sets - so much so I can't wait to place my next order ...

My first card made with Good Neighbors is an easel card, its not my first easel card (you'll see that later in the month) but I'm hooked, they are sooo easy to make but look complicated.

I followed the tutorial I found on ILWS written by Melanie Reid.

I also made this card with the colour inspiration challenge in mind over on Kristina's blog, Kwernerdesign.com, it was great to see that she had posted a 'one off' colour challenge. Anyway here's the card

And the colours Kristina gave us to play with:

I had to substitute some of the colours as they are not available in the UK ...

Stamps: Good Neighbors, 'New' Sentiment from Seasonal Wishes, 'home' from stash

Cardstock: Ruby Red, Cameo Coral, More Mustard
DSP: Pink Flamingo
Mediums: Ruby Red, More Mustard, Bashful Blue, Cameo Coral, So Saffron markers, Versomark

Embellishments: Bashful Blue 1/2" striped grosgrain, More mustard 1/4" grosgrain ribbon, bashful blue soft subtles brads.

Tools - Paper cutter and scorer, Snail adhesive, Large Oval and Scallop Oval Punches, Paper piercer, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Nestabilities (standard circles large).

So what do you think?

I'm off to play some more with the other goodies that the lovely UPS man brought yesterday, I can hear that Medallion calling ...

* Receive a free Sale-A-Bration stamp set for every £45 purchase you make from the current Idea Book & Catalogue, there are four fantastic sets to choose from.
