Another ILWS Swap.

I’ve been busy the last few days but once again nothing I can post for a week or two as its all been swaps BUT I can now show you one of the swaps I created a couple of weeks ago, again for ILWS, the theme , if you can call it a theme was to use only the neutral colours and current items from the current idea book and catalogue.

I used a design that’s an old favourite of mine with a subtle twist; instead of using a piece of patterned paper I used the huge medallion stamp AND for the first time I used my chalks. I received them as part of my demonstrator pack and would you believe I hadn’t even broken open the cellophane wrapper! I have now and believe me I won’t stop there … I can’t believe how easy they are to use.

005

Stamps: Pocket Silhouettes
Cardstock: Basic Black, Basic Gray, Sahara Sand, Kraft
Mediums- Versamark, Basic Black
Embellishments: Black brads, 3/8” taffeta basic gray/kraft ribbon
Tools - Paper cutter and scorer, stamp-a-ma-jig.

006

It was a difficult swap, sticking to just the neutral colours, but I enjoyed it and I hope that the recipients like my cards – I certainly can’t wait to receive theirs – I hope to receive all of group 2 cards tomorrow.  If I do I’ll post them here  *promise*

PTI Colour Challenge

The challenge over on A Passion for Papertrey is Black and White, sounds simple, but I found it soooo difficult not adding that tiny, tiny splash of colour …

002

Its not my design, that came from one of my Stampin Goddesses, Silke Ledlow, although mines not nearly as nice, needed a smaller design on the (stamped) backing papers,  maybe I should have added a brad or two?

Stamps: Giga Guidelines, Floral Frenzy
Cardstock: Whisper White, True Black, White Linen
Mediums- Versafine Onyx Black, Fresh snow
Embellishments: True Black 5/8” swiss dot satin ribbon, Spellbinders nestabilities labels eight.
Tools: 1-3/8”, 1-1/4” circle punches, Paper cutter and scorer, Snail adhesive.

Maybe I’ll have another go at another monochromatic card later in the week.
