Very Simple

Quick and easy, this one is probably one of the quickest cards I've ever made, and I love the simplicity of it - what do you think?

Recipe:
Stamps - Mr & Mrs
Ink - Bashful Blue
Cardstock - Whisper White, Bashful Blue
Punches - Oval large, Oval Scallop, Scallop Edge
Supplies - Diamonte

I pricked a straight lined across the whisper white card, then I stamped the flower using the stamp-a-ma-jig to ensure correct placement (I'd already stamped one image and cut out one flowerhead), I stuck the flower head over with a dimensional and added a diamonte. I punched the two top corners of the whisper white card with the scallop edge punch.

Colour Challenge 25

For today's Colour Challenge on In Love With Stamping I chose ...

Sage Shadow

Elegant Eggplant

Taken with Teal

I am quoting Stampin' Up! colours here but you can use substitutes if you don't have these colours

If you do take part in this challenge on ILWS please quote ILWSCC254 when uploading this challenge.

The main image was inked up with markers direct onto the stamp, then I used a watercolour paintbrush the fill in some of the images.

The sentiment was stamped, cut out and placed behind the hodgepodge hardware, then raised with dimensionals I then attached some ribbon and wrapped it round the cardstock. The vertical strip was stamped using the stamp-a-ma-jig.

I hope you take part in my first colour challenge.

Recipe:
Stamps - Fresh Cuts
Ink - Taken with Teal, Elegant Eggplant, Sage Shadow
Cardstock - Whisper White, Sage Shadow, Taken with Teal, Elegant Eggplant,
Ribbon- Taken with Teal
Supplies - Hardware frame

Summer Picnic Card Swap

A while ago now Helen over on ILWS organised a card swap the idea was to make cards that co-ordinate with the Summer Picnic Designer Series Paper. We each had to make six full cards, with at least one embellishment and use the following SU colours – Bashful Blue, Old Olive, Real Red, Pumpkin Pie and Whisper White. The cards have now all been swapped and all have been received ... don't they all look fab, I can't believe how different they all are considering they are all using the same colours ;0)

Mini Swap

And another swap :)

This one was using all new supplies from the new Stampin Up mini catalogue, (see sidebar, you can order from 1st April).

As you can see I made Xmas Cards, it did seem very strange making Christmas cards in March I can tell you.

I used:

Stamps: Scandinavian Season
Cardstock: Rose Red, Old Olive
Designer Series Paper: Ski Slope
Ink: Rose Red
Supplies: Silver and Gold Elastic cord.

I have to tell you that I used Stampin Up paper snips to cut out the mittens above, I cannot recommend these snips enough, they are SIMPLY THE BEST scissors I have EVER used to cut out.

Burgundy Whimsy

More cards made for a swap, only 10 this time ...

Another gate fold card, I love the way these cards come together, they look so complicated but so easy to make up ;0)

Stamps: Garden Whimsy, Seeing Spots
Cardstock:
Bravo Burgundy, Rose Red, Certainly Celery
Designer Series Paper: Rose Red
Inks: Bravo Burgundy, Rose Red, Certainly Celery, Versomark
Punch: Scallop, 1", 1-1/4" and 1-3/8 circles
Supplies: Dimensionals

To make an A6 gate fold card: 1. Take a piece of A4 cardstock 2. slice off 7.5cm from one end (keep to one side) 3. Slice down middle of remaining cardstock (10.5cm) (discard one piece) 4. Fold at A5 mark 5. Take card from step 2. and fold in half 6. Attach to card as shown above. 7. You'll need something to keep the card closed, punched card raised with stampin dimensionals works brilliantly.

Would you like to join a Stampin' Up! Club?

A stampers club is an opportunity for you to build up a comprehensive Stampin Up collection over a period of time(either 6 or 10 months) without breaking the bank and ensuring you still receive the fantastic hostess benefits associated with a qualifying order.

A qualifying order each month has a minimum value of £150.

For this the hostess is eligible to the following FREE benefits:

One level one hostess stamp set of her choice (these are sets that cannot be bought, they can only be earned with qualifying orders of £150 or more)

£15.00 worth of free product to be spent in the catalogue

Free catalogue 2008/9

Free mini catalogue (due 1st April)

Free postage (hostess month only)

Each month a DIFFERENT member gets to be the hostess and collects all the free benefits associated with that month's total. By the end of the 6 or 10 months all the members in the club will have had their turn to be the hostess.

I would also like to mention that Stampin Up will have a different special offer on nearly every month and if they don't I will ;0)

I would also mention that shares are very popular within clubs and as we get a bit more established I will definitely put some of these forward to you. For example, I could buy all the ribbons in the current catalogue and split the order fairly between all 6 or 10 of you. You could use this purchase as your monthly minimum.

To run this club we would need either:

10 members to commit for 10 months with a minimum spend of £15.00 plus P&P.

Or

6 members to commit for 6 months with a minimum spend of £25.00 plus P&P

All you would need to do each month is choose your merchandise, e-mail or telephone me with your order (which I will confirm back to you via email) and pay by the due date then wait for your parcel to arrive.

Please e-mail me if you would like any additional information, any and all questions welcome. As an additional thank you for joining one of my stampers clubs each member will get 15% off their order on their hostess month.

Cards for British Troops

Alison/Ali's Stamping Heaven needs our help, her local branch of the British Legion are sending parcels to Iraq and Afghanistan for the British troops and she offered to put cards in each of the boxes for the troops to send home to their loved ones or kids. She'd like anyone to help out by sending one or two cards to her - see her blog for further details.
