It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Here in East Sussex.

010

I wish I could say I’m ready but as usual I’m still making Christmas cards and probably will be right up until the end of the week!

Next year I will be better organised ... really I will!

I shall be running classes, monthly Christmas card classes - February through to November, that way both the class members and I should have more than enough cards ready for the 2013 Christmas season.

Right I have to get back to it, work colleagues cards to make Smile

If I don’t manage to make another post before the big day …

I Wish You A Very Merry Christmas & A Happy and Healthy 2013

Family Christmas Cards

For my family Christmas cards this year I made this beautiful cards, inspired by Julie.

001

I really couldn’t believe just how easy they were to make.

005

I actually made them in two colour ways the red and the soft suede.  I just didn’t remember to take photos of the soft suede.  Just visualise soft suede where you can see cherry cobbler and cherry cobbler where you can see soft suede.

008

Oh, and they fold virtually flat for postage …. result!

Apothecary Art Christmas

A quick Christmas Card today, this one was made for my GodMother, but I think I may have to make a few more in a similar style … I love how it turned out.

010

It was quite a quick a simple card to make up.  For this card, I stamped the Apothecary Art Image, colour blended with stampin Write marker pens and then trimmed.  I  stamped out just the banner image again, stamped my sentiment and trimmed and adhered over the original with dimensionals.  That then was adhered to a matt layer. The background layer is made up of plain whisper white cardstock above and whisper white cardstock put through the Bigshot in the Vintage Wallpaper emobossing folder with some ruffled ribbon wrapped round.

Wedding Scrapbook Pt 4.

Wedding Scrapbook continued.

Another double page layout, I decided to create a page that the bride and groom could add their own photos.  I kept the pages simple as I hadn’t seen the photos but couldn’t resist some bling.

Wedding Scrapbook Pt 1.

I was approached by the Mother of Bride, a friend of mine, to create a 12x12 Wedding Scrapbook for her daughter.  I thought it would be easy, after all I make cards for other people all the time … ‘HA’ creating a heirloom keepsake is something completely different!

I started with the basic colours, taken from the colours the bridesmaids were wearing (blue and pink) and used green as an accent colour. To coordinate, I used these colours throughout.

I’ve left room on most pages for the bride and groom to add their own journalling.

Some pages took hours/days to put together, others like the one above came together in less than a hour, although all those flowers were a little fiddly.
