Still enjoying myself in Spain, we're having a fantastic time doing absolutely nothing!

By nothing I mean getting up sometime before midday, lounging by the pool, swimming, eating, crafting, more lounging ....

Today I completed the Stamp with Us recipe challenge

Recipe is to use a piece of card, one pattered piece of paper, a flower and 3 brads, and here's my card



Recipe: (All supplies Stampin Up)

Stamps: Playful Petals
Cardstock: Pretty in Pink, So Saffron, Whisper White
Designer Paper: Tea Party
Ink: (Markers) Almost Amythyst, Bashful Blue, Pretty in Pink, Green Galore, So Saffron
Ribbon: Bashful Blue Striped Grosgrain
Supplies: Pretty in Pink brads

Its hot, too hot to sunbathe but I'm still managing to get some crafting done - doesn't everyone take a portion of their SU stash on holiday with them?? LOL


I hate having my picture taken, much prefer this shot ...

New Cardmarking Workshop in Bexhill

Starting Wednesday 23rd September at 7:15 - 9.15pm
Venue: my house.
Come along and have an evening crafting for just £12 including all materials.
Take home 2-4 lovely handmade cards, and a 3D project you can proudly call your own.
Please bring along your basic scissors and glue, all other materials and refreshments provided.
All levels of crafter welcome.
I hope we can make this a regular workshop and if I can get the numbers up I'll look into hiring a hall locally.

I can't take credit for the design, the design came from a Workshop I attended on Friday at the Glitter pot, run by Paula Pascual (will post more about that tomorrow) but as soon as I saw it I knew I had to re-create it as a baby card - I LOVE IT

DSP - Bashful Blue (SU), Pebbles Inc - Little Buddy
Punches - Stampin Up Stars
Supplies - Blue brads, Star and heart eyelets (stash), craftwork sentiments

Anyone for Cake?

Nappy Cake ...

My daughter's best friend is expecting her first baby any day now, and Dannii and I wanted to make something special for her ....


I really enjoyed making the cake, this is my sort of baking :O)

Recipe;

60 Pampers newborn nappies
60 small rubber bands
Johnsons Bubble bath
12" Cake board
2 x Baby socks
2 x Bibs
2 x Babygrows
1 x Jacket
3 x Vests
1 x Cuddly Toy
3 metres cream satin ribbon
3 metres blue satin ribbon

I've another pregnant friend at work, can't wait to find out what's she's having so I can start planning the next 'baking' session :O)

Christmas in August

This weeks Stamp with Us challenge is a Theme challenge and it's all about Christmas!!

I feel as if I pretty much cheated, as I didn't even pick up a stamp!! I can't believe I managed to create a card, in fact a very pretty card with no stamps involved at all ....

Catch Up

Thats what I'm playing tonight, catching up with all the challenges I've missed the last week or so ...

First one is Kates Inspiration and Themes Challenge No. 24 on ILWS - The inspiration was a choice two pictures from The Designer's Guild - this is what I came up with

I really wanted to use Kraft cardstock rather than the Whisper White, but I've got my last sheet earmarked for another project ...

I'm going back to my craft room now to complete some more challenges, the Christmas card on Stamp with Us, the Thank You card on A Passion for Papertrey .

Simply Scrappin'

I didn't get much done in the way of scrapping or card making this week due to illness, I wasn't a well bunny at all :( so I don't have much to post at all, this is a layout I made last week before I fell ill:



Its once again for the UKS weekly challenge, it was set last week by the Blooming Pages who set 'Love' as the theme, any interpretation - 10 points

and recycle something - 10 points

In fact everything came from a Stampin Up Simply Scrappin scrapbooking kit, it makes life so easy to create a co-ordinated page in minutes.


Well I definately had a Love theme, included pearls and recycled some of the cardstock from a Wedding Anniversary Card I made DH earlier this year - so once again I claimed full points for my team ;O)

I'll be working on this week's challenge this evening.
