Sweet Baby

A friend is about to have her baby girl, so I thought I’d better have a card ready for her, at the same time I joined in on Passion for Papertrey’s current challenge: to use a background stamp on a project.

013

I love creating my own backgrounds and was going to use Polka Dot Basics II, but decided on A Little Argyle for a change and believe me it is a change, I always seem to reach for PDBII, but I’m glad I did, I really enjoyed using A Little Argyle, and had really forgotten just how versatile it is!

The cute little babygrow is from a new Stampin Up set called Bundle of Love and the sentiments are PTI from Mega Mixed Messages. All the cardstock, ink and ribbon are Stampin Up.

I’ve a few more projects to show, lots of Thank you’s and I’ve got a jump on some Birthday cards too.  I’ll post them over the next few days.

I wouldn't have thought of A Little Argyle for a baby card either, but it really is soft and pretty. Such a nice change from what we typically see for a little girl baby card. I loved it. Very innovative.

The repetition of the all the fabulously feminine shades of pink is perfect in your new baby card. The argyle is a great backdrop for the layered mats.

That is so sweet! I love the background stamps, too. I don't own that argyle one yet, but after seeing this card, it is on my "must have" list!
