I created this lovely little card as my entry for the Challenge Blog over at That Craft Place.  The theme this time round the theme is … One for the Boys.

Oh and time allowing – sometimes they are last minute – I decorated the inside of each

Not sure you can see it, a piece of very vanilla cardstock with a piece of the map paper from the fabulous Tim Holtz Craft Resist Papers, all distressed with the soft suede ink around the edge, and one of those gorgeous planes stamped across the two.

If you get the chance in the next fortnight, pop along to the That Craft Place challenge blog, this challenge we are sponsored by Crafters Companion – Prize on offer :O)

Anniversary card

As I’ve mentioned before I really struggle with masculine cards, I try very hard not to have to make them but I can’t get away with the few I have to make every year for Mick, my better half.

The occasion this time, our anniversary.  I know he wouldn’t appreciate anything too lovey dovey

007

Cardstock: SU  early espresso, very vanilla
DSP: SU Well Word DSP
Mediums: Early espresso, soft suede for distressing,
Embellishments: :
SU small heart and dotted scallop ribbon border punch, Memory Box PASTRY LABELS, SU vintage brads, PTI linen texture plate
Tools: Big Shot,  Dimonsionals

I didn’t have any ribbon that worked, so made some from cardstock.  One strip of plain CS and two strips of punched scallop ribbon border under.  Very pretty effect.

We’re looking forward to nice long romantic weekend ;O)

Anything but a square or rectangle challenge

I used a fabulous banner die to create this lovely little card as my entry for the Challenge Blog over at That Craft Place.  The theme this time round is anything but a square or rectangle.

If I can find a minute or two this week I plan to have some more ‘inky time’ and will create another, perhaps an easel card ...

Springtime challenge

I made up this card as my entry for the Challenge Blog over at That Craft Place.  The theme this time is Spring, and it certainly wasn’t difficult to find inspiration … its been a gorgeous week this week.

I used the fabulous Tim Holtz Kraft Resist Papers - I don't’ know who could resist them! When you ink them up they really are gorgeous, for this project though I kept them plain although I did use my sewing machine to add a single stitch line all the way round. I used cherry cobbler cardstock to bring out the colour in the poppy.  The two ribbons are both SU, I love the crochet trim :O)  The little flowers are made from one of the SU punches in the set ‘Itty Bitty Shapes’ and a single pearl in each. The stamp is ‘Poppy’ from Crafty Individuals, stamped in Soft Suede and coloured with my stampin up markers and then distressed.

I love the look of this card, probably my favourite so far this year.

You’ve a fortnight to join us in this challenge, hope to see your work of art soon :O)
