ILWS Colour Challenge 256

This weeks colour challenge is using

Chocolate Chip

Brocaide Blue

Pumpkin Pie

More Mustard

or substitutes if you don't have or use Stampin Up markers, ink or cardstock. If you do take part in this challenge on ILWS please quote ILWSCC256 when uploading this challenge.

This is the card I made

A friend at work asked me to make a card for her husband's 50th birthday, she knows I really struggle with male cards ... but she loves my cards so I couldn't refuse. So I doubly tested myself this week by setting the colour challenge to it as well. The colours work really well with some of the papers from Washington Apple Designer Series

The card was taken from a sketch I've had in my sketch pad from some months and knew it would be useful for the 'right' project ;0)

The 50 was cut out on my Robo, DH showed me how to use the Robo and now that I know how easy it is to use I think I'll be using it an awful lot more - good thing really, as it cost a lot and its just been sitting on the shelf since August!

Recipe:
Stamps - Seeing Spots
Ink - Versomark
Cardstock - Chocolate Chip, Brocade Blue, Pumpkin Pie, More Mustard
Designer Series Paper - Washington Apple
Ribbon - Brocade Blue, More Mustard
Supplies - Hardware frame and silver brads from the Stampin Up Hodgepodge Hardware collection.

I hope you'll join in on this colour challenge, please upload your project to the ILWS site I'd love to see it.

I'd also love to read any feedback on mine ...

Stamp with Us Colour Challenge

The Stamp with Us challenge this week is a colour challenge, inspired by a chocolate cupcake - yum, which means yummy chocolate colours ...

Heres my entry

Recipe:
Stamps - Fresh Cuts
Ink - Chocolate Chip, Embossing ink
Cardstock - Chocolate Chip, Creamy Caramel
DSP - Chocolate Chip
Ribbon- Chocolate Chip
Supplies - Brads colour matched to choclate chip.

I've seen so many cards in the last week or so highlighting the Spotlighting technique I thought I should have a go, the main image has been resist embossed with chocolate chip ink - this is probably one of my favourite techniques ;0)

I've made quite a few cards in chocolate chip with some 'bright' co-ordinating colours using Fresh Cuts - I'll post more tomorrow.

Ally Pally

It was a really long, but fantastic day yesterday. I left the house at 6.45 to get to Saltdean for an 8am minibus departure which I made in plenty of time. Big thank you to Clair for organising the minibus it saved me the hassle of the train or driving through London and gave me the chance to meet all these virtual people IRL ;0) as well as make some new friends ...

We got there later than originally planned, but I still managed to meet up with friends from ILWS and UKS, it was fab to put some faces to names ;0) I can't believe I didn't get my camera out ;(

I didn't spend nearly as much as I though I would, even though I had custody of DH's credit card for the day ;)

I'm off to do some of the dreaded HW now, but hope to have a play with the new toys later ...

Another Challenge on ILWS

Kraftykate over on ILWS set the challenge yesterday, and what a fab challenge it was ... This time it was an Inspiration and Themes challenge, the inspiration piece was a photo from Harlequin Fabrics and Wallpaper all you have to do is create a card or other papercrafted project based on a picture, upload it to the gallery on ILWS, with ITC17 in the title and link back on the thread here , thats it, easy. This is my submission, I love this one, its so girly ...

This is the inspirational picture.
